Mighty Little Bheem

Cartoon Network had ruled the kids' TV space in South Asia for a decade when unexpectedly a new local channel (Hungama- later acquired by Disney) programed a ton of Japanese content (Shin-Chan being one), dubbed them and created a huge viewership in the 4-14 demographic, threatening to overtake CN. It was time for an original content with high resonance in South Asia. That's how Chhota Bheem (Little Bheem) was born. Produced by Greengold Animations with creative input from CN, the show went on to being the biggest revenue garner for the network in the following years. A long tailed content, dubbed in many languages and in its15th season now, the show is still on air. In 2018, Netflix acquired an offshoot of the show with the same name (Mighty Little Bheem) which has also been hugely successful. The original content has till date won numerous awards, domestic and global, and has had two feature length films made for domestic and international theatrical release. Moon was the then CN content head responsible for the production and launch of the show. That was the first time in Turner history CN had commissioned original content outside the Turner studios (Burbank, London)
